ZS Dubova is a public primary school centrally located in Bratislava, Slovakia, recently recognized as a dynamically developing institution. The aim of our school is to raise the young generation that would be able to cope with the reality of their lives and to find their places in future. We’d like to provide a complex approach, so students can reach their goals.
The school has more than 250 students in ages from 6 to 15. More than 140 are 1 - 4 graders. Our staff team consists from 20 teachers, 3 SEN experts and the psychologist who provide extra help and support for children in need for example Asperger syndrome, learning disabilities, behavioral disorder and others.
The school implements projects on topics like „Behave Properly“ and „League for Mental Health“. However, we are very pleased that our team was joined by the specialist in Art therapy who implements the inclusive approach of education by art and leads the artefiletic program applied in the classes with children at risk.
The vision of our school is to create the environment where each student would feel comfortable in. Therefore, by applying new forms and methods with modernizing teaching processes, we would like to continue with improving the strategy for inclusive education.
